Dear gurus,
we have several storage location MRP areas in one Plant to separate the production lines, for which each requirement has to be independent, not to be consolidated across MRP areas.
Now we need a clarification for Quota Arrangement behavior at MRP area level.
We have already applied Note 505667 by which Quota Arrangement works even under MRP area.
For example, there is a Plant P in which we have 2 MRP areas, 01 and 02.
We have set Quota arrangement for Material A.
60% of the requirement for A will be purchased from Vendor X, while the rest 40% will be purchased from Vendor Y.
For purchase of A material from each Vendor, Scheduling Agreement has been created and Source list is also set for each with MRP indicator 2.
And this planned allocation must be carried out only if we run MRP at MRP area 01.
If there is a requirement for the material A at the other MRP area 02, we need to buy this material only from the Vendor X.
In other words, for the procurement for MRP area 02, 100% of the requirement should go to Vendor X.
However, if we run MRP at MRP area 02, the requirement is split according to the Quota Arrangement and 40% of the requirement goes to Vendor Y because the Quota Arrangement can be set only at Plant level.
So we are wondering, is there any way we can avoid the split done by the Quota Arrangement if we run MRP at MRP area 02??
Also, in case we run MRP at MRP area 01, the requirement for the area has to be split according to the Quota Arrangement.
If this is impossible in the standard approach, could anyone suggest any user-exit or something to add some logic to get the above functionality??
Thanks and regards,
Herokey
