As per clarification provided in international accounting standard, capital spare parts (CSP) need to be capitalised and depreciated from the date of their purchase instead of date of their actual consumption on related plant/machinery.
Now in SAP we will take a CSP into fixed asset right at the time of its GR .... However, in actual the item would be appearing in stores till the time of its actual issuance for consumption . This will result in loosing control over CSP items held in stores and its reporting.
Is there any solution for keeping the CSP in inventory till its actual consumption but calculating depreciation on it since its purchase ??
