Direct Procurement With Kanban

I am trying to find a way within SAP to have Kanban trigger and create a PO for a different part number.

We consume Part A, but Part A first comes in as Part B, then it is painted in-house which makes it Part A.

We would like to set Kanban up that when our bin of Part A is consumed Part B is automatically ordered via electronic PO.

Once Part B is received in and put away that triggers paint to paint it. Since it is a unique color they only paint when they see parts sitting in the queue area; however we only want "x" number of painted parts on the assembly line.

Currently we have Kanban on Part A.  Once the bin is empty a printout is sent to purchasing's printer, purchasing then takes the piece of paper and creates a PO to order Part B.  As you can see that is wasteful and not effective.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
