MRP not to create planned orders but recognize STO and PO

Hello Gurus,

standard MRP generates planned orders for shortage of supply against a demand. We do not convert planned orders into PO/STO. Instead we load inbound STOs into the system which serves as supply MRP element. The quantities of the STOs are always less than the demand and thus MRP generates planned orders for the delta demand. We do not want MRP to generate any planned orders but to recognize STOs or POs as supply signals. If planned orders are not generated, available quantity will go negative which is the expected result. This scenario is specific to materials with MRP views.

could you please give us some advice?

MD16 run after MRP can delete those planned orders. This is not the best solution.

We do not want the planned orders to be created by MRP at all.
