Valuation Category X (Batch Specific Valuation) and Material Ledger

Folks,

This question is for those who are knowledgeable in the combination of Material Ledger/Actual Costing and Batch Specific Valuation (Valuation Category X).

The question:

Where batch specific valuation is used in conjunction with ML/AC, will the price differences be rolled up according to the usage of the batch in the production?

Example:

Purchased raw material (ROH100) is used to produce Finished Good (FERT100).

Purchases of ROH100 during the period:

Batch 1  100kg  $1.50/kg

Batch 2  200kg  $1.80/kg

Two process orders of FERT100 during the period:

Process Order 1 - 80kg of FERT100 (Batch A1)

ROH100 used - 80kg of Batch 1

Process Order 2 - 50kg of FERT100 (Batch A2)

ROH100 used:

20kg of Batch 1

60kg of Batch 2

Cost of goods manufactured for FERT100 (material portion only):

Batch A1 - $120 (80kg @ $1.50/kg)

Batch A2 - $138 (20kg@ $1.50/kg + 60kg@ $1.80/kg)

Would like to know if the above requirement for COGM can be fulfilled in SAP.

Helpful and relevant answers will be greatly appreciated and rewarded with points.

Many thanks!
