At present we are using following process for vendor procurement
1. Purchase Order
2. Inbound delivery
3. Goods Receipt (101)
4. Quality Check
5. MIRO
Now my company what's to change the process.
1. Create virtual warehouse inside the factory premises
2. All the vendor stock should go to Virtual warehouse.
3. Do quality inspection at the virtual warehouse
4. Goods inward when ever required for production.
5. Issue the goods to production.
Advantages what business people are mentioning is Stock value will be reduced.
When I searched in SAP , I found there is process of consignment stock. Now my question is , when I am having the stock in consignment warehouse can I do quality inspection ( ie in SAP will it generate Quality lot , inspection plan .. etc).
Please clarify . If not what is the solution I can provide to business team.
