Help with pallets

Hello,

What material type is best practice to use for pallets?

My assumption would be to use VERP (packaging material).

I am using HUPAST to pack a material called PALLET (which is setup as a VERP).  When i use LM76 to receive the handling unit containing this PALLET I get an error that "accounting data not yet maintained for material PALLET". 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
