Hello everyone.
We are about to implemente MRP/CBP to plan materials, avoiding in this way to increase inventory costs for non storage location plants.
What we are planning is:
keep 5 pieces at certain material in each plant.
keep the rest in the main storage location.
if a sales order is created from this non storage location plant for 10 pieces, SAP propose automatically a STO from main storage location(read another plant) to the plant where we will sell this material, and also consider the our minimum stock level that will be 5 Always, in this scenario, if I have 5, then a Sales Order is placed with 10, SAP must propose 10 as STO purch.requisiton to cover my sell and inventory.
We will have then 5 pieces as safety stock and our reorder point will be 5.
We are thinking to use MRP type V1 to consider sales order inside the MRP/CBP run.
Does anyone has any comments, are we in the right path?
